June 12th 2009.Changi International Airport.Singapore.
It's 4:44 in the morning and I'm unbearably hungry. So this is my last stop before I finally reach the final destination which is my home, Jakarta.Guess how many hours do I have to wait? Freakin 15 hours. My plane board at 3 PM in the afternoon, which means I have like about 10 or 11 hours in this airport.
I started my journey yesterday. From O'Hare Intl Airport in Chicago.I met 9 of my exchange student friends from Indonesia: Safira, Devi, Mya, Xika, Uti, Alia, Mia Po, Tengku, and Iyo.The group missed 4 people : Rama, Pandu and Risca who went home earlier and Cita who will leave United States in July 16th.
I thought it's gonna be weird when I first saw all my Indonesian friends and had to talk in my own language again.I haven't talk in my own language for about freakin 10 months.Well, I talked in the phone but it was so awkward, I felt like my tongue was tied in a knot. But then I met all of them and it's just flow like the waters.I thought I need to think hard to made some funny jokes in Indonesian, but again, it's just go really easy.
The journey to Singapore was a blast.First we got a flight to Detroit and then we waited there for about 3 hours and oh God, I never met someone as funny as my exchange student groups, I swear I could just peed my pants every time they talked because it was all like a goddamn freakin MAD TV show.
After stopped in Detroit, we started the longest flight in the freakin whole world : 12 hours flight from Detroit to Tokyo.Good thing was I sat next to my friends: Uti and Xika.Alia and Mia Po were sitting right next to us, we had a lot of fun and crazy time together. We were making Indonesian Sign Language and just being idiot all the time.
So well, actually I haven't buy any souvenirs for my family and friends.I need to buy something, I was thinking about perfume for my sisters and probably my mommy.
And I'll just buy some candies or chocolates for my friends.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Currently I'm with Devi, Safira, and Alia. We're all online in Facebook and are chatting and sending message to each other via Facebook.Which is dumb.Because we're all in the same airport but we're all shattered and not together.I think Iyo and Tengku are smoking in the lounge and I don't know where Mia Po and Uti are, and I'm not really sure where Mya and Xika are.But well, that's okay, we're gonna have some real foods together in about around 6 o'clock ish.
I actually take a lot of pictures but my laptop is retarded so I can't upload any pictures. But I will upload the pictures, once I get home.I'm gonna have a freakin jet lag! And dude, I don't think I'm ready for Indonesian's freakin hot humid insane weather.
I'll update more later.Catch ya later!

The end of the journey?
June 10th 2008.Radisson Hotel, Chicago, Illinois, America.
Wow dude, my exchange year was officialy over.It goes by like a bullet train, like a rocket rushing to the moon, it goes way so freakin fast.
I conquered my goal to be an exchange student, I started my journey 10 months ago and now my journey is over? Is is the end of my journey?
NAH.
I don't think so.I still have lots to do, I still have lots of dream to catch. One of them is to coming back to Utah when I'm 21 years old, kidnap my friends and take them to Vegas.
For that super sweet and awesome plan, I need a hell lot of money, so I'll start saving from the day I step my stinkin feet in Jakarta, Indonesia.
And that's a promise.Great people keep their promises, I'm great so I need to keep my promise.
This is not the end.
I still have a journey of my senior year in SMA Negeri 8 Jakarta.
Graduate with a sweet score and get accepted to University of Gadjah Mada and majoring probably in International Relationship or Social Politic or I will catch my dream to be a journalist+potographer.
My journey end when I can't breathe anymore, when Allah SWT call me to come back to Him.
This is not the end.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So.I arrived in Chicago on June 9th around 7.30 PM.I need to carried my super heavy backpack+laptop bag+purse. It's a freakin lot of work to do, I might build some sweet muscles on my back and arm.
What's happening? Oh nothing, the airport security just threw away my Calvin Klein perfume.Yeah, shitface. But they didn't really throw it because I told them to give it to Jerry and Janet who's fortunately still stood outside waiting for me to got through the hell airport gate.
At least the sweet CK ONE wasn't on the garbage can.
I miss CK ONE :(
Iyo and Safira welcomed me.Safira gave me the most dramatic welcome hug I ever received hahaha.I thought it's gonna be awkward and weird to talk in Indonesian again after for a freakin long time I haven't say a single normal words in Indonesian.(Usually I just taught my American friends how to swear in Indonesian).
Oh geez.My hands just went numb and my legs too.I gotta go to bed.
Catch ya later!

A message to you.

I would like to share this to everyone
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
We convince ourselves that life will be better once we are married, have a baby, and then another baby..
Then we get frustrated because our children aren't old enough, and that all will be well when they are older..
Then we are frustrated because they reach adolescence phase and we have to deal with all the teenage fuss..Surely we'll be happier when they grow out of the teen years..
We tell ourselves that life will be better once our spouse gets his/her acts together, when we have a nicer car, when we can take vacation, when we finally retire..
The truth is : there is no better time to be happy than right now.
If not, when are we decided that we're happy enough?
You life will always full of challanges and obstacles..It is better to admit as much and decide to be happy in spite of all the life problems..
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
For the longest time it seems that life was about to start, the real life..
But there were always obstacles along the way, an ordeal to get through, some work to be finished, some time to be given, a bill to be paid.
Then life would start...
I finally understand that those obstacles were life..
That point of view helped me see that there's isn't any road to happiness..
Happiness is the road..
So, enjoy every moment.
Stop waiting for school to end, for a return to school, to lose ten pounds, to gain ten pounds, for work to be done, to get married, for Friday evening, for Saturday night, for Sunday morning, waiting for a new car, for your mortgage to be paid off, for Winter, Spring, Summer, Fall, for your song to be played in the radio, to die, to reborn, before deciding to be happy..
Happiness is a voyage..not a destination..
There is no time to be happy than NOW!!!
Live and enjoy the moment..
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Think and try to answer this question.
-Name the 5 richest people in the world
-Name the last 5 Miss Universe winner
-Name the last 10 Nobel Prize winner
Rather difficult, isn't it?
Don't worry, nobody remembers that.
Applause dies away!
Winners are soon forgotten.
Now.Answer this questions.
-Name 3 teachers who contributed to your education
-Name 3 friends who helped you in your hour of needs
-Think of a few people who made you feel special
-Name 5 people that you like to spend time with
More manageable? Is it easier?
The people who mean something to your life are not rated 'the best', don't have the most money, haven't win the greates prizes..
But, they are the ones who care about you, take care of you,
those who stays with you no matter what happen.
Think about it!
Life is short?
Which lists are you in?

The beginning : Mad World
I arrived in United States of America, July 30th 2008.It was exciting and I was having a lot of fun, I was having the "Honeymoon" phase.Everything was perfect, it was not as hard as I expected, I had a nice summer day, laid down in the bench under the rainbow umbrella, played in the pool with my host siblings. But when the summer vacation was finally over and the school started, I had to let go of my "Honeymoon" phase.Suddenly, I felt lonely and helpless, I had no one that I knew in my school, I'm having difficulties making friends and school that used to be fun, wasn't fun anymore.I compared my condition with my friends in other place; They lo0k happier than me.That time I knew, the roller coaster of my life dived down and take me way down , beyond my reach and it seems that I can't move anywhere. My state of mind held me back from moving anywhere.I'm stuck.
In that current time, I listened to "Mad World" by Gary Jules. It was a soundtrack of Donnie Darko, I accidentally heard the song while shuffling my iPod.I examined the lyric and right at that time I felt like Gary Jules sang that song for me.
Here's the song.
Mad World - Gary Jules.
All around me are familiar faces
Worn out places - worn out faces
Bright and early for their daily races
Going nowhere - going nowhere
And their tears are filling up their glasses
No expression - no expression
Hide my head I want to drown my sorrow
No tomorrow - no tomorrow
And I find it kind of funny
I find it kind of sad
The dreams in which I'm dying
Are the best I've ever had
I find it hard to tell you
'Cos I find it hard to take
When people run in circles
It's a very, very Mad World
Children waiting for the day they feel good
Happy Birthday - Happy Birthday
Made to feel the way that every child should
Sit and listen - sit and listen
Went to school and I was very nervous
No one knew me - no one knew me
Hello teacher tell me what's my lesson
Look right through me - look right through me
Mad World - Gary Jules

Cover I.Gak tau kenapa, menurut gue sama sekali gak menarik dan membosankan.
Gue suka konsepnya tapi entah kenapa ini keliatan agak gak karuan gimana gitu.

Terlalu klasik.Kesannya tua banget, emangnya kita lulus angkatan 2009 apa angkatan 1800.

Erm.Maaf tapi kayaknya gue gamau deh BT SMA gue keliatan kayak BT SD..
Posted by rinta-chos at 2:39 PM 2 comments

Sekitar jam 12an, Phil dateng jemput gue bersama Host Momnya, Host Momnya ngedrop kita di Ogden train station, terus kita beli tiket Front Runner, harganya 11$ buat round trip.
Sumpah deh si Kay Ling in bahasa Inggrisnya bagus banget, very impressive.Bener2 sebuah grup pertemanan yang multi racial.Anyway setelah ketemu mereka berdua, kita pergi ke The Gateway. Tapi akhirnya gue cuma beli Nylon edisi bulan May hahahha.Phil beli For One More Day nya Mitch Albom, gue suruh dia baca itu soalnya tu buku bagus banget dan bkin gue nangis.Setelah dari Barnes&Nobles akhirnya kita ngopi ngopi bentar di amang2, haha ga deng, gue beli the delicious Caramel Frappucino
terus kita jalan jalan.
Pas lagi di Zumiez, temennya Inez dateng dua orang.Namanya Flannery dan Olivia.Yang namanya Flan gokil banget, orangnya keren dan guess what? DIA BAKAL JADI EXCHANGE STUDENT KE INDONESIA TAHUN INI!!! Hahaha, gue excited deh akhirnya ngajarin dia segala macem tentang Indonesia! Terus tadi pagi gue kirim Email ke emak gue dan nanya apa dia mau ngehost anak Amerika buat jd Exchange Student.Mudah2an dia mau.Amin.
Jujur aje, gue gak suka belanja bareng orang, gue belanja sendirian dan it has to be quick and easy dan gak pake deh nyoba nyoba barang dulu, buang buang waktu. If it looks good and I can picture myself on it, then I'll buy it.Easy like that.
Enjoy!
Nyoba nyoba barang di semua toko.Hahaha.Gue nyoba topi Zumiez, Inez+Phil nyoba rok di Hot Topic, gue+Olivia nyoba bra di American Eagle hahahha.

Falling in Love at a Coffee Shop
For some reason I always thought that Mother's day was on December 22nd.But it was not on December 22nd, it was Sunday, May 10th.Honestly, I don't care about Mother's day, it's not that big deal in Indonesia and I'm not that type of person who go to their mom and kiss her and give presents and blah blah blah.I mean come on, I can't even give compliment to my mom, I'm too socially awkward.
But well, since everyone in America seems really care about Mother's day and probably because I live in Utah that's really big about family relationship whatsoever, I decided to buy a bouquet of flower for my host mom.It supposedly a surprise but she found out about it so I was like,"Hmm well it's actually for you and I'm preparing it for tomorrow but since you've seen it well there you go."
So happy Mother's day everyone whose a mom.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Thank God, I had a nice and fun weekend last week :)
Saturday, I called Phil and asked her if she wants to watch movie because I had a gift card, she said yes, I was about to ask Myla too but she wasn't home all day yesterday, so I told Phil to text Brennen and asked her if she wants to come.So it was Phil, Brennen, and me.It was a hell lot of fun and I actually found something that I've been looking for a long time.YES BABY I FINALLY BOUGHT A PERFUME!!!!! So here's the story, I'm obsessed with perfume and I only use one brand and I refuse to use another brand of perfume, the only brand of perfume I use is Calvin Klein One.I got a good offer, I got a whole set of perfume, lotion, shower gel, and deodorant for only 64$ and if I only bought the perfume it'll cost like 57$, so that's a very good deal right?
.
Tell you what? I hate to decide about movie and foods, I like to go with the flow but since it's my gift card, I had to choose the movie. The truth is I'm dying to see Star Trek but I can't because it's a new show and I can't use my gift card for a new show so I decided to watch 17 Again. It was a funny movie but I swear to God I'm so gonna kill Zac freakin Efron, I hate him with passion.I don't give a shit if another girl moaning and think he's hot, for me Zac Efron is a homosexual. He ruined the movie for me.I really like his friend though, Ned Gold(played by Thomas Lennon), Ned is me if I'm a guy and I'm American and have a brain.I freakin love Ned's house with all the stuff in it and all the video games, oh that's just heaven. My favorite scene was when Ned took Mike O'Donnel(Zac Efron)'s principal and they started to talk in elf language.I peed my pant a little because I laughed so hard, come on I'm a hardcore fan of the Lord of the Ring, but that doesn't mean I will learn to speak in elf language! That's just so freakin nerdy. There's one eye candy in this movie though, his name is Sterling Knight, he played as Alex O'Donnel(Mike's son and later his friend)and I like how the movie end with The Kooks's song hehehe.
And here's my favorite quote from the movie along with Sterling Knight's picture.
Ned Gold: I think our hands just made a baby.
Ned Gold: Before we get started i think you should know that mark's a bastard.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
One fine day, I was watching AT&T commercial and I got hook up by the song that they used in the commercial.I googled it, and I'm ready to download it but then I found out that I had the song in my iPod after all. It's called Faliing in Love at a Coffee Shop by Landon Pigg.
Landon Pigg - Falling In Love at a Coffee Shop
I think that possibly
Maybe I'm falling for you
Yes
There's a chance that I've fallen quite hard over you
I've seen the paths that your eyes wander down
I want to come too
I think that possibly
Maybe I'm falling for you
No one understands me quite like you do
Through all of the shadowy corners of me
I never knew just what it was about this old coffee shop I love so much
All of the while I never knew
I never knew just what it was about this old coffee shop I love so much
All of the while I never knew
I think that possibly
Maybe I'm falling for you
Yes
There's a chance that I've fallen quite hard over you
I've seen the waters that make your eyes shine
Now I'm shining too
Because
Oh
Because I've fallen quite hard over you
If I didn't know you I'd rather not know
If I couldn't have you I'd rather be alone
I never knew just what it was about this old coffee shop I love so much
All of the while I never knew
I never knew just what it was about this old coffee shop I love so much
All of the while I never knew
All of the while
All of the while it was you
You
You
You

Today was depressing. The sky were cloudy and grey, and I only caught one glance of Greeny.Although well I talked to Greeny after school and Greeny was breathtaking as usual. It was not just the looks, it was everything that came from Greeny were breathtaking.Greeny hugged me and comforted me and stuff but it was just make it worst because the reason I wanted to cry was Greeny.
Today was my last Track&Field practice and tomorrow will be my last Track Meet.
I'll hit them with my best shot.I will jump as if I'll never jump again, I'll run as if I'll never run again.I'll give my best and God do the rest.

What a Different a Day Makes
*sniff*
I just watched Grey's Anatomy.100th Episode.My favorite episode ever.
Everything in that episode was amazing and beautiful.Amazing, not to mention the marriage between Alexander Michael Karev and Isobel Catherine Stevens.Yep!They had a beautiful wedding at church!
Last week, I predicted that somehow Karev and Izzie will get married instead of Mer and Derek.Shonda Rhimes, the producer, she said,"Someone will get married"
Someone? Yeah, most likely not Mer and Der.
It was a happy episode but really tear jerking too.First, Izzie started to hallucinating about freakin Denny again and I was like:What the F? Just go to hell Denny.Second, Izzie is dying ans she is bald now and I can't agree with Karev, Izzie is not hot with a bald head.Third, there is something between Owen Hunt and Christina Yang relationship that makes me want to cry, it's just very deep and real.Fourth, George is single and I thought he will end up with Lexie, but well who will choose O Malley over McSteamy?.Fifth, a bunch of college students died during their way to their freakin graduation, only one survived.Sixth, Izzie almost fell down when she walked down the aisle and George, her bestfriend, help her to stand and walked her to the altar.Seventh, well Karev stole some of the sentence from the dying college girl's graduation speech, but his vow was sweet, and it's Karev, Karev said such a vow, wow.
Grey's Anatomy always got me.It's the music, it's the story line, it's the character.
Oh and I hope they will keep Arizona Robbins.I like her much much much better than Hahn, Hahn is just too lesbo-looking, it creeps me out.Grey's should make Arizona and Hunt a main character by now.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Yay!My Danny boy posted a new picture in his MySpace!Daniel Anthony Noriega, you always fascinate me.Always.He's so friggin cute and hot at the same time.I want a best friend like him :)

And now let my post come to an end.
Today's song is by Death Cab For Cutie.I will follow you into the dark.I don't know why I choose this song, but well I just watched this movie:'Invisible'.I watched that movie before and I think it's a total shit and not worth to watch, I watched it again and I think it's actually has a really good soundtrack and yes, this song is one of them.
I Will Follow You into the Dark - LIVE - Death Cab for Cutie
But I'll be close behind
I'll follow you into the dark
No blinding light or tunnels to gates of white
Just our hands clasped so tight
Waiting for the hint of a spark
If Heaven and Hell decide
That they both are satisfied
Illuminate the NOs on their vacancy signs
If there's no one beside you
When your soul embarks
Then I'll follow you into the dark
In Catholic school as vicious as Roman rule
I got my knuckles bruised by a lady in black
And I held my tongue as she told me
"Son fear is the heart of love"
So I never went back
If Heaven and Hell decide
That they both are satisfied
Illuminate the NOs on their vacancy signs
If there's no one beside you
When your soul embarks
Then I'll follow you into the dark
You and me have seen everything to see
From Bangkok to Calgary
And the soles of your shoes are all worn down
The time for sleep is now
It's nothing to cry about
Cause we'll hold each other soon
The blackest of rooms
If Heaven and Hell decide
That they both are satisfied
Illuminate the NOs on their vacancy signs
If there's no one beside you
When your soul embarks
Then I'll follow you into the dark
Then I'll follow you into the dark

Track time was over
I had to dress up today because I have a track meet in Syracuse High School.Honestly I hated my dress today, it made me feel like a dumb freakin ass.So during lunch I changed my clothes, I decided to wear a basketball short and Fremont jacket, F the dress, I don't care.
Today's meet was you know, very fun to watch as usual but since I didn't do anything, it's just like a freakin waste of time. But still, I had a damn lot of fun.Having a person like Jerica Wilson and Courtney Tolman in your team makes everything's fun and you just can't stop laugh your ass off.
Since I did not feel like I want to write today, I just posted some pictures from the meet.I look retarded but that's okay, I always look like that anyway.
And today track time was over for me, I have no damn chance to qualified for State meet so no more jumpin and runnin for me.So long my sweet passion..I will never forget the sound of my breath, breathing heavily, trying to catch up with my short steps from my short legs.I will never forget Coach Jessica's passionate voice, giving an advice for me who kept getting worst and worst.I will never forget the uncomfortable feeling of my too-tight blue Fremont uniform and the too-short black spandex wrapping around my skinny upper legs.I will never forget the cold and hard bench on the football field or the itchy and sharp grass, the place where I always sit and wait until the meet's over.So long track&field..farewell..I had fun and that's all that matter :)
Well, there's more pictures but I can't upload all of it here. It's a pain in the ass uploading all these pictures.
By the way I lost my freakin sunglasses. It fell down from the bench because I moved too much and I can't picked it up because there was no way I could fit into the fence.SHIT!That freakin pissed me off.But well, it's okay.Calm down, chill.
Today's song is Creep by Radiohead. Why? Because I was listening to my iPod and I told Catelyn to picked the song, and she picked Creep, and I just realized how fetching awesome that song is.It's like my number 1 love song, wait no no, it's not my number one, my number one love song is Strange&Beautiful by Aqualung. But anyway Creep is one of my top love song and thanks to Cate for picked the song and sang along with me.Here's to you, by the fetching awsome Radiohead : Creep.
Creep - Radiohead
When you were here before
Couldn't look you in the eye
You're just like an angel
Your skin makes me cry
You float like a feather
In a beautiful world
I wish I was special
You're so fucking special
But I'm a creep
I'm a weirdo
What the hell am I doing here?
I don't belong here
I don't care if it hurts
I want to have control
I want a perfect body
I want a perfect soul
I want you to notice when I'm not around
You're so fucking special
I wish I was special
But I'm a creep
I'm a weirdo
What the hell I'm doing here?
I don't belong here
She's running out again
She's running out
She runs runs runs
Whatever makes you happy
Whatever you want
You're so fucking special
I wish I was special
But I'm a creep
I'm a weirdo
What the hell am I doing here?
I don't belong here
I don't belong here
